Ben Swithen - New record now available
Featured video of the month
Retail II (2011) - A friend tried to make a film about the ghost of Guy Fawkes, but forgot to film any scenes featuring Guy Fawkes. The footage (its qulity diabolical) was abandonned until I made this edit 18 months later. I cut out all the punchlines, in an attempt to elevate it over the original 'Retail', a film featuring my worst acting performance. This film also features Jennifer Jordan, Shanti Phillips and Ted Hockin.
Featured song of the month
Victory Party (Bambling/Hagley) - Not my song at all, but one by my friends Chris Bambling and Tom Hagley. Included here because Mr Berlusconi's name may soon fall out of common usage

Video of the Month Archive
- 15/10/2011 Chess: The Board Game: The Movie - I believe the title gives away the concept.
- 15/09/2011 Quails Given in Wrath - Quite my best music-video, and one that marks a full year of my active Youtubing.
- 15/08/2011 Boat-Train - This was the first music video of any complexity that I ever made, and features a stumbling attempt at a multi-me dance sequence.
- 15/07/2011 Das Security Bathroom - My Biblical submarine epic. It features Tom Hagley, Tom Cassady, Will Fortune and Emma Crews. Beware!
- 15/06/2011 Chickens in a Pie - Each August I help to run a Christian computer camp called 'Transformers' for the organisation 'Scripture Union'. This bizarre motion picture was made in our video activity, and I had a hand in the edit, and suspect the resulting adventure bares my fingerprints. It cracks me up.
- 15/05/2011 Bad Tea on my Youtube channel. Played on a hammond organ. The wallpaper visible in this video has since been destroyed utterly - let this video stand as a monument to it.

- 15/10/2011 This is the Record of John - when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Gerusalem to ask him 'who art thou?', he confessed and denied it not, saying 'I am not the Christ'.
- 15/09/2011 'Send Forth a Smell' - an unusual call to prayer incorporating text from Jonah, Job and Ecclesiasticus.
- 15/08/2011 'Quails Given in Wrath'> - From my new record 'Kibrothhattaavah!'. This is a lively ditty recounting the cucumberless catastrophe that befell the Ancient Israelites in chapter 11 of the book of Numbers. It was a bad time all round, but I've never heard anybody singing about it, so here's my attempt to bring it out in song.
- 15/07/2011 'My Diane' - a lesser-known Beach Boys track, and perhaps my most alarming recording. This has been known to silence happy rooms, and bring woe and distress in its wake. I'm rather pleased with the actually-a-keyboard organs in this, and its Untertag-esque doominess.
- 15/06/2011 'Dmitri Slobolosovic Broke My Heart' - From Wolfcastle for America. I particularly like the instrumental in the middle, though I've never heard it commented upon.
- 15/05/2011 The Possessor of the Spinny Flower Trick - From Empire, a very long Bambling/Swithen album. Jennifer Jordan, an actress of our acquaintance, is singing the lyrics, and the title came from the notes of Tom Hollingworth.
